Frances "Bessie" Garnett
GARNETT-the death of Frances "Bessie" Garnett of McDonald
Lake Rd., Garnett Settlement, occurred suddenly at St. Joseph's
Hospital on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Frances had been employed at
the Mater Misericodiae Home on Waterloo St. and as a cook at the
Salvation Army.
She Born in Saint John on April 19, 1917, widow of Steven Garnett, she is survived by her seven sons, Robert (Nina), Eugene (Audrey), Ronnie, Douglas (Tina), Frank (Linda), Murray (Bertha), and Richard, all of Saint John; her four daughters, Lois (Dwight) Wilson of Vernon, B.C., and Donna (Lorenzo) Zamora, Hazel (Joseph) Tyler, and Mary (Redvers) Speight, all of Saint John; 30 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Service will be held at Fitzpatrick's Chapel, 100 Waterloo St., on Friday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to Romero House; Prince Charles School; or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
