Frederick "Fred" Andrew Farrell
Fred graduated from St. Malachy's High School in 1957 and received a Degree in Engineering at Michigan Tech. In his later years Fred attended Harvard University for a Masters in Arbitration Consultation, eventually obtaining his license as an Arbitration Consultant for the Provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Fred spent most of his working career as an owner of Cooper Road Construction in the Sate of New Jersey and shared in part ownership with his brother in the AHL Hockey Team franchise, the Saint John Flames. Fred was a highly respected businessman and friend. . Fred retired several years ago, dividing his time between his home at Carter's Point on the Kingston Peninsula and his home in Tarpon Springs. Fred enjoyed a challenging game of bridge and poker with his close friends and was involved in the ownership of several horses. He loved to travel and always had the well-being of his children, family, and friends at heart. His playful bantering and helpful disposition will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Friday afternoon at 12:05. Entombment will take place in Fernhill Hill Vault with interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery in the spring. Memorial contributions in Fred's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
