Edmund  Shaw
The death of Edmund James Shaw of Saint John, beloved husband of Marie (Doucet) Shaw occurred on Sunday December 20 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on July 8 1926, in Hartland NB he was the son of the late Percy and Annie (Bradley) Shaw.
Prior to his retirement, Ed was employed as a track maintainer for 48 year with CP Rail in Saint John. He was very active as head usher and coordinator for adult funeral servers at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for many years. He also enjoyed woodworking and working in his garden. Ed will be sadly missed.
In addition to his wife, Marie, Ed is also survived by his children: Peter Douglas Shaw (Beth); Susan Marie Chiasson (David); his grandchildren: Paula and Cara Shaw and Taylor and Mackenzie Chiasson; his great-grandchildren Tristan and Tasha Speight and Tevin Cobham as well as several nieces and nephews; his brother: Maynard Seeley and sister Sharon Galbraith, sister-in-law: Noreen Downey. He is predeceased by his brothers: Lorne Shaw and Carol Seeley, brother-in-law: Bill Downey.
Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, NB, (634-1965) with visiting on Monday, December 21 from 6-8 PM and Tuesday December 22 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 12:10 pm. Interment will take place at a later date in Hartland NB .In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to The SPCA Animal Rescue or a charity of choice.
