She is survived by her daughter Joanne (Nickie) Brideau (Marc) of Long Reach, NB, her son Vernon (Patricia) of Abbotsford, BC, her son Steve (Jean) of Lower Sackville, NS, her son Adam (Jennifer) of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, and son; Mark Garnett (Rosanne) of Saint John, NB. Marion will be lovingly missed by her grandchildren Neil, Victoria, Kathryn, Adam, Jennifer, Brett and Brittany, great grandchildren Victoria, Amalia and Arya, and sisters, Margaret Danaher and Bernice Nichols.
Marion was predeceased by her loving husband Vernon Blair O'Neill. They were married for 57 wonderful years. She was also predeceased by brothers George, Gordon, Stuart, and sisters Connie, Gloria, Joan, Dorothy, and Francis.
Marion had a very entrepreneurial spirit and, in addition to her years of service in the retail industry (Reitmans and Sears), she owned and operated Peppers Sandwich and Sub Shop on Union Street in Saint John for many years. She was heavily involved in her community and very giving of her time. Marion started the first children's bowling league in Saint John, a source of much enjoyment for the youth in the city. She also loved to bowl, play bingo, and find a great yard sale for adventurous shopping with her daughter Nickie.
During their later years, Vernon and Marion spent winters in St. Petersburg, Florida, where they enjoyed retirement. Many great family memories were made over the years with the children and grandchildren making their yearly visits. It was indeed the best of times. We love and miss you, Marion.
