David Allan Gooding

1940-2016

David Allan Gooding
Gooding, David Allan - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of my dear brother David Allan Gooding on January 26th, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. David was born March 22, 1940 in Saint John, NB, son of the late Fred and Mary (Hughes) Gooding. He is survived by his sister Myra MacEachern and brother in law Donnie Sr. of Antigonish NS. David is also survived by Nephews: Donnie Jr. MacEachern of Antigonish NS and David (Ellen) MacEachern of Calgary; Nieces: Anne MacEachern of Atascadero California and Mary MacEachern of Pictou NS, as well as several great nieces and nephews. David had worked for the CN Railway. He always loved to come to Antigonish at Christmas and his great joy was to wear his kilt and attend the Antigonish Highland Games. The Family would like to extend their special thanks to Marie Robichaud and her staff at Victoria House, Saint John NB where David lived for a long time. We would also like to extend a very special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital 5C South for their exemplary care and compassion during David’s month of illness there. Dr. Vaughan Smith was David’s family doctor and he attended to him for many years in the most compassionate and understanding care of David’s whole being. Thank you and God Bless you.
“Do small things with great love.”
