Ronald Allan Trites
1954-2016
The family of Ronald Allan Trites of Saint John are saddened to
announce of his peaceful passing which occurred at the Saint John
Regional Hospital on May 20, 2016. Born on November 16, 1954 Ron was
pre-deceased by his parents Austin Walter Trites and Edith May (Jones)
Trites of Saint John. He is survived by his loving Wife of 43 years
Joanne Marie Trites and his four children, Diane Lavoie (Travis) of
Stoney Creek, ON, Christine Trites (Wayne) of Maces Bay, Pamela Trites
(Mel) of Saint John and Ronald Trites Jr. of Fredericton. He is also
survived by his adored grandchildren, Brandon, Devon, Lauren, Julia
& Joshua and his great grandson Kayden. Ron was the third oldest
of 8 children. His siblings; Shirley, Sharon, Mary, Rodney, John,
Bonnie & Dawn Marie all reside in Ontario. He also leaves behind
many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his best friend
Wayne Ralph Elder. Ron was a self taught back yard mechanic who loved
fixing/riding motorcycles and cars. He was employed with the Lantic
Sugar Refinery for 25 years. Ron was an avid RC Airplane flyer and
belonged to the Saint John Model Flying Club in Lorneville.
At the request of Ron, there will be no visitation or service but friends and family are invited to celebrate his life at his daughter’s home on Sunday, May 22nd from 2-6 pm at 700 Westmorland Road, Saint John. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, NB (634-1965).
