Ilona Forgo

Ilona Forgo passed away on May 29, 2016 at Carlton Kirk Nursing Home. Born on November 8, 1920, in Old Czechoslovakia, she was a daughter of the late Geva and Margit Jancso. She worked many years as a seamstress in uptown Saint John.

She is survived by her friend, Frank Remete; God-Daughter, Judy Saskiw, Edmonton, AB. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Laszlo Forgo and several brothers and sisters and God-Son, Peter Nyers.

Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., Saint John, visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 12:10 pm from, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Saint John. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to S.P.C.A. Animal Rescue League or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
