Frank Joseph Bastarache

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Frank J. “Bay” Bastarache, loving husband of Dianne (Savoy) Bastarache, announces his passing, which occurred on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on February 12, 1942, he was a son of the late Anthony and Catherine (Hachey) Bastarache.

Frank will be missed by his wife, Dianne of 50 years; his children, Steven Bastarache (Donna), Frank Bastarache (Shelly), Anthony Bastarache (Janice), Scott Bastarache (Susan) and Tammy Morehouse (Allan); 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; siblings, Stella (Henry), Clarence, Eddie (Evelyn), Donnie, Ronnie (Beth) and Ida; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by a sister, Annette, and an infant sister.

Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (634-1965) with visitation on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 12:10 pm. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Cathedral Restoration Fund, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
