John David Main

It is with great sadness the family of John David Main announces his passing on October 14, 2016. Born on April 11, 1952, he was a son of the late Carl and Rhona (Durley) Main.

John found great joy in his life when he was bowling, playing cards or darts and even liked to go out dancing in his younger years. He was employed at the Saint John Dry docks as a shipbuilder in the late 1970s.

He is survived by his brothers: Carl Main Jr of Ontario, Terry (Marie) Main of Halifax, Robert (Marilyn) Main and Harry Peter (Anne Marie) Main, both of Saint John; his sisters: Lucy (Allan) Marshall of Saint John, Margaret (Tim) Wooden of Belleisle, and Roxanna Main of Ontario; his aunt: Bessie Beamish as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. . John was predeceased by his parents.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their care, especially the SICU unit.

Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St, Saint John, NB (634-1965) where visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, from 2-4PM and 6-8PM.
