Robert Frederick Martin

The death of Robert Frederick Martin, husband of the late Eleanor (O’ Regan) Martin, and long time companion of Lois Hodnett of Fredericton,N.B, occurred on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at his residence. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Robert and Florence (Bennett) Martin. He had served overseas in the Korean War and was a member of the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry, was employed with the Department of Fisheries and later as a car salesman. His passions were music and fishing. He is survived by one son: Robert Martin of Saint John; one sister: Shirley Estabrooks of Norwich, CT; one grandchild: Lorrin-Marie Martin (Robin Anderson); one great-grandchild: Declan Anderson. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by one brother-in-law: Jim Estabrooks.

Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, NB (634-1965) with visiting on Sunday, December 4, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 from Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home Chapel at 11 AM.
