Thomas Edward Wisted Jr.

1949-2017

Thomas Edward Wisted Jr.
Wisted, Thomas Edward Jr. --

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Thomas E. "Tommy" Wisted announces his unexpected passing, which occurred on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at his residence. Born in Saint John on December 22, 1949, he was the son of the late Thomas Sr. and Rita B. (Coveney) Wisted.

Tommy was an avid chess player and used to enjoy going for walks around uptown and attending Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Tommy was a skilled mechanic who worked for many years in various automotive shops in the Saint John area. He was a jack-of-all-trades, and loved the challenge of a good repair. In his younger years, he looked forward to weekend camping trips with his father, and later playing crib with him for hours on end. He was a kind, caring man who will be missed by all who knew him.

He will be missed by his children: Susan Dionne (Josh Urquhart), Tommy Wisted (Kerry) and his step daughter Angela Steacy (Daniel); grandchildren, Casey, Austin, Tommy and Tristyn; step grandchildren, Abby and Brooklyn; his sister, Rita (Hughie); nieces, Carrie and Chella; nephew, Normand Jr.(Bridget); great nieces, Breanna and Abby; and an aunt Theresa Lagasse; as well as several extended family members. In addition to his parents, Tommy was predeceased by his wife, the love of his life, Christa Lee (Cameron) Wisted; and a sister, Sharon.
