Marie Stella Doucet

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Marie Stella (Stever) Doucet of Saint John, NB, which occurred on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Tucker Hall, Shannex. Born in Bathurst, NB she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Mary (Cormier) Stever. When she was employed she was a cook at many various restaurants in the city. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, RCL Branch 69 Auxiliary loved to cook, sew and knit.
She is survived by one son: Harvey Doucet of Saint John; one daughter: Brenda Burke (David) of Halifax NS; six grandchildren: Michelle Hare (David), Tricia Doucet (Ken), Michael Doucet (Tanya), Jaime Oudemans (Dan), Jennifer Burke (Alison) and Joseph Burke (Megan); seven great grandchildren: Kristian Bacon, Alex Hare, Catlin Richardson, Brycen Burke, Blake Burke, Eric Burke and Evan Burke; two nieces: Diane Brown (David) and Muriel Dobson (Harold); one nephew: Brian Boudreau (Joanne); three step-grandchildren: Ryan Burgess, Derek Keith and Dayna Keith. Besides her parents she was predeceased by one sister: Doris Boudreau.
Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, NB (634-1965) with visiting on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Rose of Lima Church, 541 Milford Road on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
