Fitzpatrick Michael James … The death of Michael Fitzpatrick occurred peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on June 9, 2014. He was born on August 1, 1962 in Saint John and was the son of Ann Marie Fitzpatrick and the late Donald Hugh Fitzpatrick. Mike was employed with Cooke Insurance, (formerly Crawford Insurance) for approximately 30 years. He was an active member of the Assumption Parish and an avid bridge player. Mike was also a member of the Saint John Y’s Men's Club and served as a past president of the Saint John Club from 2002-2003 and thru the Saint John Club he was instrumental in setting up the Saturday evening meals at the Salvation Army. In addition to his mother Ann Marie Fitzpatrick, he is survived by his sisters, Kathleen MacDonald (Keith), Christine Fitzpatrick and Ann Fitzpatrick and brothers; Patrick Fitzpatrick (Debbie) and Eugene Fitzpatrick (Guylaine), a special cousin; Brian Fitzpatrick as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.
Arrangements entrusted to Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street (634-1965) with visiting on Thursday June 12, 2014 from 2:00pm-8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday June 13, 2014 at 12:00 from Our Lady of the Assumption Church followed by interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
