Kathryn Ann "Kathy" McAdam

1961-2014

McAdam Kathryn Ann “Kathy” - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathy McAdam on June 28, 2014. Kathy lived life on her own terms. She died at home in the company of her dear friend and guardian angel Brenda Binns and friend Debbie Thibodeau. She was predeceased by her mother, Eileen (Harley) McAdam. Kathy is survived by her only son Patrick Foley (Katie McVicar) and his father Gerald Foley, her father Leo McAdam, step-mother Barbara, and siblings and their families. Kimberly McAdam, Roderick and his children Jonathan, Caitlyn (Brad Nice and daughter Adelyn); Susan Johnston (Marc and their children Kara and Laura); Geoffrey (Mary and their children Gabrielle, Garett and Gregor); Jocelyn Graham (Chris); and Timothy McAdam. And not to be forgotten, Chris Hoyt who Kathy considered to be a brother and is often thought of as Leo’s 8th child. Also survived by step brother Michael and step sisters Judy, Karen and Tricia Gallagher. Some of the things Kathy enjoyed were reading, travelling, crossword puzzles and shopping at the Bangor Mall. Kathy was a long time employee of Scotia Bank; they were extremely supportive throughout Kathy’s 16-year illness. A special thank you to her many friends who were so kind and generous over the past couple of months. And thanks to Dr. Margot Burnell for never giving up hope and doing all that she could for Kathy.
