Sarah Aurora Melanson

Melanson, Sarah A. … It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Sarah “Aurore” Aurora Melanson of Saint John, NB which occurred on Monday, August 4, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born on August 31, 1923 in Moncton she was a daughter of the late Pheleas and Marie (Allain) Melanson. She was employed for 20 years at Browns Box Company and several years at MRA’s until her retirement. She was a member of St. Ann’s Church. She is survived by one brother, Alban “Abby” Melanson (Barb) and one sister, Rose Horgan both of Saint John; sister-in-law, Alma Melanson of Lower Sackville; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by three brothers, Leonard, Alderic, Aurele “Mike”; two sisters, Edna and Helena; one brother-in-law, Jerome Horgan; one sister-in-law, Ruth Melanson.

Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, NB (634-1965) with visiting on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 7, 2014 from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 12:10 pm. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
