Mary "Frances" Daley

The death of Mary "Frances" Daley of Saint John wife of the late Harry Daley occurred on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born in Saint John on December 5, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Danaher) Nugent.

Prior to her retirement, Frances was employed as a legal secretary and had worked for various lawyers throughout the city.  In her younger years, she was very active in her community and took great pride volunteering for causes close to her heart. 

Frances is survived by her son, Stephen Daley (Elaine) of Quispamsis; grandchildren, Anne Daley and Harry Daley (Angela); brother, Frank Nugent of Moncton; nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister, Marion Nugent; brothers, Edward and William Nugent as well as sister-in-law, Muriel Nugent.

Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (634-1965) with visiting on Monday, January 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann’s Church, 135 Simpson Drive, Saint John on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at 10:00 AM.  Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
