M. Margaret Murphy

Murphy Mary “Margaret”-The death of Margaret Murphy occurred on Saturday May 2, 2015 at the Kiwanis Nursing Home in Sussex. She was born in Richibucto on May 18, 1933 and was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Elward (Stewart). Margaret belonged to the Catholic Women’s League and was employed for many years as a Housekeeper at the Bishop’s Palace. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers; Frederick and William, sisters; Mary Viola and Katherine and several half brothers and sisters. She is survived by four daughters; Bridget Murphy, Beau McDade, Gail Whalen (Ralph) and Martha Williston (Al), two sisters; Maxine Collins (Bert) and Theresa Gogan (Len) as well as ten grandchildren, two great grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Tuesday May 5, 2015 at 12:10pm followed by a reception and interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (634-1965)
