Jackson, Mary Lillian – It is with heavy heart’s that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Mary Lillian Jackson on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born on March 11, 1933 in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Clementine Savoie.
She is survived by Larry of Saint John, Diane (George) of Upperton, Ralph (Karen) of Whitby, Malcolm (Verna) of Rothesay, Carl of Saint John, Wanda (John) of Quispamsis, Paul (Aletha) of Rothesay, Richard of Saint John and numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
She is also survived by sisters, Della (Joe) Stephen, O’Rida Savoie and brothers, Malcolm (Bonny), Frederick (Karen), Clarence. Special friends, Yolande, Lyn and Edna. She was predeceased by sons, Joseph and Peter and the children’s father, Melvin Jackson. Her greatest achievement in life was the love of her family and extended family. She started many family traditions that continue to be carried on today. In her earlier years she enjoyed singing with the Saint John Sea Bells and volunteering for Hospice.
Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, NB (634-1965) with visiting on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 and Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 12, 2015 from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 12:10 pm. Interment will take place in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery.
