John "Jack" Michael Sullivan

It is with great sadness that the family of Jack Sullivan, loving husband of 67 years to Jacqueline (LeBlanc) Sullivan announce his passing which occurred peacefully on November 27th, 2015 at his Shannex residence, Quispamsis, NB. He was born in New Glasgow, NS on January 2, 1924, son of the late John and Louise (McVarish) Sullivan.

Jack worked 48 years at CNCP Telecommunications retiring as Regional Manager in Saint John. He enjoyed travelling with Jackie, golfing with friends, and cheering for the Blue Jays. His quickness of wit and kindness of heart brought a smile to many faces.

Family meant everything to Jack. In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Ann Sullivan (Patrick Murphy) of Richmond Hill, ON, Michael Sullivan (Brenda Santaga) of North Vancouver, BC, Donna Landry (John) of North Vancouver, BC, Brian Sullivan (Sue) of Prince Rupert, BC, Marilyn Sullivan (Tim Preston-Thomas) of Ottawa, ON, Maura George (Anthony) of Oakville, ON, son-in-law Wilf Wareham of St. John’s, NFLD eighteen grandchildren, one great grandson, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his eldest daughter, Dr. Mary-Jane Sullivan, his sister, Mollie Hall and his brother, Barry Sullivan.

Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, NB, (634-1965) with visiting on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 6:00pm… 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 31 Gondola Point Road, Rothesay, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11:00am. Following a reception in the church hall, interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to a charity of choice.
