Margaret Mary Perry

1922-2017

Margaret Mary Perry
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Margaret Mary (McNair) Perry on September 16, 2017 at the Embassy Hall, Shannex, Quispamsis with her family by her side. Born in Nash Creek, Restigouche County, NB on June 25, 1922, she was a daughter of the late John and Beatrice (Melanson) McNair and beloved wife of the late Austin Perry. Margaret served with the Canadian Women’s Army Corps during WW2, from Nov.2, 1942 to June 14, 1946, and was employed with Revenue Canada, retiring in 1986. Margaret was a former member of St. Joachim’s CWL, Beaus & Belles Square Dance Club, and was a former member of Fundy Branch #68 Royal Canadian Legion. She enjoyed time spent with family - especially her treasured grandchildren, and she enjoyed volunteer work, gardening, and travelling.

Margaret is survived by her sons Brian (Janice) and Stephen (Ann) of Quispamsis; her sister Teresa Paquin of New Port Richey, Florida; grandchildren Danny, Natalie, Sara and Nathaniel and great grandchildren Newen, Tala and James. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Gordon, James, Alvin, Ronald, infant brother Albin McNair, sisters Beatrice McNair, and infant sister Margaret McNair.

Margaret’s family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff and volunteers of Embassy Hall. She will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched.
