Caroline Jane Higgins

HIGGINS-It is with great sadness we announce the tragic passing of Caroline Jane Higgins on Sunday , June 20, 2010. A graduate of UNB Law School, Caroline was a partner with Gorman Nason Law in Saint John and has volunteered with a number of community agencies, most recently serving on the Board of Directors of Meals-On-Wheels.
Caroline was an
animal lover, sports enthusiast, badminton player, and an avid runner.
She was a dear mother to her beloved pug, Toby, and a cherished
daughter, sister, and aunt.
Born in Deep
River, Ontario, in 1964, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Don
Higgins. She leaves to mourn, her mother, Sheila (McLaughlin) Higgins;
a brother, Don (Jane) Higgins of Rothesay; four sisters, Maureen
Higgins (Harold Hutchinson) of Charlottetown, P.E.I., Mary Ellen (Ben)
Scholten of Rothesay, Kelly Higgins of Toronto, and Siobhan Higgins
(Jason Alcorn) of Saint John; along with aunts, uncles, and cousins,
and her close friend, Blair Cormier. She will be dearly missed by her
nieces and nephews, Allison, Erin, Sydney, Ryan, Daria, Keegan, and
Ivy.
Resting at
Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Tuesday
from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at
the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday afternoon at
12:05. Donations to the Saint John Animal Rescue League would be
appreciated by her family.
