Ivan F. McIsaac
McISAAC-the death of Ivan F. McIsaac, husband of the late Helen M.
(Lennox) McIsaac, occurred peacefully at the Saint John Regional
Hospital on Monday, August 23, 2010. Ivan was born May 18, 1919 in
Glenwood, P.E.I., a son of the late Albert and Mary (MacIntyre)
MacIsaac. He had resided the greater part of his life in Saint John
where he had been a member of the C.P. R. Police Dept. until his
retirement in 1979. He had been a reporter with the New Freeman for a
number of years. He was predeceased by three brothers, Eric, Ronald,
and Arthur. He is survived by a son, Stephen of Saint John; a
daughter, Gloria (John) Cran of Saint John; three sisters, Marion
Morrison of Timberley, N.S., Regina Russell (Gerald Hardy) of
Miscouche, P.E.I., and Ethel Smith of Mississauga, Ont.; two
grandchildren, Christopher Cran of Saint John, and Bradley Cran (Annie
Lin Tao) of Toronto; one great-granddaughter, Lily Mei Tao-Cran of
Toronto; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and
grandnephews.
Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday afternoon at 12:05. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
