Mary F. McNeil

McNEIL-the death of Mary F. McNeil occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Sunday, November14, 2010. Miss McNeil was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Stephen and Agnes (Stack) McNeil. She  was a registered nurse and had served oversea during the Second World War in England and Italy. Following the was she nursed at the Lancaster D.V.A. Hospital until her retirement in 1982. She was predeceased by four brothers, Francis, Wallace, Joseph, and William McNeil; and a sister, Elizabeth Gillis. She is survived by three brothers, Donald (Valerie), Michael, and David (Linda) all of Saint John; two sisters, Theresa McNeil of Saint John, and Margaret Doucet of Beresford, N.B.; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday afternoon at 12:05. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the N.B. Alzheimer Society or the Animal Rescue League would be appreciated.
