Gerard Joseph F. Brown

BROWN-the death of Gerard Joseph F. Brown of 317 City Line occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, December 19, 2010. Mr. Brown was born in Saint John, a son of Frances Marie (Sweeney) Brown and the late Blair S. Brown. At the time of his death he was the frozen food manager of No Frills Grocery and had worked in the seafood and meat departments of the Superstore West. He was an avid sports fan, played gentlemen's hockey, and enjoyed camping. He was known as "Joe" to his many friends. Besides his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Kristina Elizabeth Louise Brown of Saint John; two sisters, Heather (Stewart) Totten and Kimberly Brown (Terry Carson) both of Saint John; two nieces, Stephanie and Samantha Totten, both of Saint John; one aunt, Carol Ann (Tony)Sweeney Arora of Markham, Ont; and an uncle, Robert (Noreen) Sweeney of Orillia, Ont.
Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Tuesday from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Stella Maris Church on Thursday at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association; Pro Kids; or the Saint John Boys and Girls Club would be appreciated.
