Marion G. J. Hunt

HUNT-the death of Marion G. J. Hunt, widow of David J. Hunt, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, March 13, 2011. Mrs. Hunt was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Frederick C. and Bertha J. (McRae) Rockliffe, and was the last surviving member of her family.
She was a graduate of St. Vincent's Girls High School and in 1947 was the first female valedictorian at St. Thomas University. She had been a Beaverbrook Scholar. She taught school for many years until her retirement from St. Rose School.

     Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday evening from 7 to 9. Service will be held in Fitzpatrick's Chapel on Friday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
