Eugene J. Bonnevie

BONNEVIE-the death of Eugene J. Bonnevie of Saint John occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, March 15, 2011. He was born in Saint John, a son of the late Alyre and Alfreda (Doucet) Bonnevie. Eugene was proud of his work at Shop 211 and loved to paint and draw. He was loved by all who knew him. He was predeceased by a sister, Loretta and a brother, Donnie. He is survived by his longtime partner, O'Dell M. Doucette; two daughters, Sherry (Doucette) Calder and Melissa Rolfe, both of Saint John; two brothers, Blair Bonnevie (Terri) of Sussex, and Oscar Bonnevie of Moncton; one sister, Margaret Bonnevie of Ottawa; one grandson, Ethan; a sister-in-law, Marlene; and several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Service will be held in Fitzpatrick's Chapel on Saturday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvaton Army or the West Side Community Food Bank would be appreciated. www.fitzpatrickfh.
