Norman J. McFarlane

McFARLANE-the death of Norman J. McFarlane of St. Andrew's, husband of the late Mary Elaine (Holt) McFarlane, occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital on Friday, March 25, 2011. Norman was born in St. Andrew's, a son of the late Percy and Annabell (McLaughlin) McFarlane. He  had been employed at the St. Andrews Biological Station until his retirement a number of years ago. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his son, William McFarlane. He is survived by his daughter, Deana Gowan (Dennis) of Mayfield; one brother, Donald McFarlane (Thelma); five grandchildren, Jill Kozak (Mark), Eric McFarlane (Michelle), Emily Madill (Ehren), Krista Sutherland (Adrien), and William Gowan (Candace); eight great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law Donna McFarlane of British Columbia and numerous nieces and nephews

Service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, St. Andrew's, on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Andrew's Rural Cemetery later in the spring.
