GARVIN, M. Leona-the death of M. Leona Garvin, widow of Ronald G.
Garvin, occurred at Loch Lomond Villa on Wednesday, April 13, 2011.
Mrs. Garvin was born in Petit Rocher Dec. 31, 1926, a daughter of the
late Victor and Lena (Levesque) Doucet, and had resided the greater
part of her life in Saint John. She had been a member of the Catholic
Women's League and the City Market Seniors Club. She was predeceased
by a sister, Helen MacDonald. She is survived by one son, James
(Carrie) Garvin of Shediac; one daughter, Diane Pelletier (Daniel) of
Saint John; four sisters, Rita Richard (Eloi) of Saint John, Theresa
MacKenney of Quispamsis, Viola(Roland)Corriveau of Campbellton, and
Evelyn Doucet of Montreal; and four grandchildren, Guillaume
Pelletier, Natasha O'Brien, Jerome Pelletier, and Isabella
Garvin.
Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Saturday morning at 10:30. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
