Elizabeth A. Forest
1929-2011

FOREST, Elizabeth A.-The death of Elizabeth A. Forest, widow of John L. Forest, occurred at Loch Lomond Villa on Monday, June 20, 2011. Mrs. Forest was born in Holmesville, N.B., on August 28, 1929, a daughter of the late William and Helena (Cummins) Doherty.
She was a graduate of Mount Carmel Academy and had taught in School District 8 for 32 years until her retirement a number of years ago. She was a member of St. Joachim's C.W.L.; the Park Ave. Fiddlers; and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 53.
She was predeceased by six brothers, Father Joseph, C.S.C., Alphonsus, Leo, James, Michael, and Anthony Doherty; and two sisters, Mary Corcoran and Helen Cronin.
She is survived by two sons, John Paul of Toronto, and
William (Carole) of Borden, Ont.; four daughters, Bernadette Hedar of
Vancouver, Cathy Mifflin (Paul) of Morrisdale, Marilyn Sood (Virender)
of Oromocto. and Elisa Dickinson (Corey) of Rothesay; one sister, Rose
Doherty of Toronto; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She will be missed by her longtime special friend, John
"Jack" Stevens.
Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate
Conception on Friday afternoon at 12:05. In lieu of flowers, donations
to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
