Thomas E. Wisted
1925-2011

WISTED, Thomas E.-the death of Thomas Edward Wisted occurred at Ridgewood Veterans' Wing on Saturday, December 10, 2011. Tom was born in Saint John on September 4, 1925, a son of the late Thomas E. and Viola May (McLellan) Wisted.
He had been a C.P.R. checker and was also employed with
Maritime Gardens for many years. He had served overseas with the Royal
Canadian Army during the Second World War and was a member of Royal
Canadian Legion Branches 14 & 69. He was a member of the Big
Salmon River Angling Association and loved gardening and studying
history. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Rita B. Coveney,
in 1992. He is survived by one son, Thomas E. (Christa) of Saint John;
two daughters, Rita M. Almon (Hubert) of Barnesville, and Sharon
Tremblay
(Norman) of Saint John; 5 grandchildren; and 7
great-grandchildren.
Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday afternoon at 12:05. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a Memorial Service on Tuesday evening at seven o'clock.
