ROBERT A. MURPHY

MURPHY, ROBERT A.-the death of Robert A. Murphy of Quispamsis, husband of Marilyn D. (Akerley) Murphy, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Robert was born in Montreal on March 2, 1947, a son of Albertine (Mathieu) Murphy of Magog, and the late Gerard Murphy. He had been a pipefitter-welder and was a member of U.A. Pipefitters Local 463 Oshawa. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Tiffany in 1998. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, David of Quispamsis; one brother, Pierre Murphy of Magog; two sisters, Suzanne Berbrier of Montreal, and Lucie Murphy of Magog; and several nieces, nephews, beloved sisters-in-law, and beloved brothers-in-law.

     Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Friday morning from ten o'clock until service at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in Whitby, Ont. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the IWK Grace Health Foundation would be appreciated.
