DORIS T QUINLAN
1930-2012
QUINLAN, DORIS T.-the death of Doris Theresa Quinlan, widow of Arthur
G. Quinlan, occurred at Loch Lomond Villa on Friday, January 6, 2012.
Doris was born in Saint John on February 7, 1930, a daughter of the
late William and M. J. "Jennie" (Lockhart) Rodday, and had
been employed with Robert Fudge Roofing until her retirement a number
of years ago. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by three
sisters, Jean Cormier, Audrey Rodday, and Lois Savoie, and her very
special niece, Anita Cummings. She is survived by seven nieces Judith
Fournier, Jean (William) Spence, Theresa Cormier (James Dulong),
Katherine (David) Galey, Wendy (Andrew) Roberts, Mary Jane (Jack)
Edison, and Linda (Bruce) Slovitt; and five nephews, "her Danny
Boy" Daniel (Brenda) Cormier, Robert (Sandra) Cormier, David
(Anita) Savoie, Wayne Savoie, and William Rodday. She is also survived
by her special grandnieces, Laura McAdam (David Flewelling) and
Christine (Nicholas) Roy, who lovingly called her "Auntie
Doe-Doe"; her great-grand niece, Madelaine Roy; and her
great-grandnephew, Benjamin Roy.The family would like to thank Doris'
caregiver and friend, Fernand Parsons and the Staff of Birch Lane at
Loch Lomond Villa for the wonderful care they provided.
Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Monday from 7 to 9 PM. Service will be held in Fitzpatrick's Chapel on Tuesday morning at ten o'clock, Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Loch Lomond Villa Foundation would be appreciated.
