Gregory Joseph McGinnis

With his family at his side, Gregory Joseph McGinnis of Rocmaura Nursing Home, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Greg was the son of the late Harry and Helen (McDonald) McGinnis. Greg was a lifelong Longshoreman and the Past Vice President of the Atlantic Coast District of the ILA, as well as president of ILA #273 in Saint John, NB. In addition, he was the past director and president of the ICCA.

Greg is survived by his nephews and his nieces, John (Michele) McDade, Greg (Susan) McDade, Mary (Brian) Delaney, Paul (Joanne) McGinnis, Catherine (Brian) McParland, Peter (Ida) McGinnis, Christine (Bill Pump) McGinnis, and Maureen (Neil) McKeown. Greg was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Helen and John McDade, and his brother and sister-in-law, William and Wanda McGinnis, and his nephew, Michael McGinnis.

The family wishes to thank Greg's caregiver, Joanne Lingley, and Rocmaura Nursing Home for all their care and support.

Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (634-1965) with visiting on Friday 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 10:00 AM. Interment to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the SPCA or to a charity of the donors choice.
