Joseph Harold Owens

Owens,  Joseph Harold  - The death of Joseph "Joe"  Owens of Saint John  occurred on Saturday, December 29^th, 2012 at the SJRH. 

Joe was a great cook.  He was the former President of the South End Tenants Association and was a Commissionaire for many years until his retirement.  Joe served in the Canadian Armed Forces as a bandsman.  He was a bandsman from the age of 13 to age of 70.

He is survived by his wife Margaret of 48 years, sister Dorothy Porter, two brothers Thomas and Lloyd, children; John, Sherry, Kevin, Kelly, Stacy and Tommy.  He was predeceased by his mother Mildred Owens and father Tom.

At Joe’s request there will be no visitation.  Following cremation a service will be held at Salvation Army 36 Waterloo Street, Saint John on Wednesday January 2^nd, 2013 at 11:00 AM.  A private family interment will take place at a later date.
