Doris Godin

The death of Doris Godin, wife of the late Oliver Godin occurred on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the age of 95.  Doris was born on March 7, 1918 in Tracadie, NB and was a daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Brideau) Ferguson.   She is survived by her children, Raymond (Cathy) Goodin and Norbert (Joan) Goodin, Claudette McLeod all of Saint John, NB, Viola McCallum of St. Stephen, NB, Florence Goodin of Saint John, NB, one sister Stella McLaughlin of Tracadie-Sheila, NB, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents Doris was predeceased by brothers Richard, Alphonse, Gerald, Alyre and Fr. Oneil Ferguson and two sisters Mary Arsenault and Sr. Noela Ferguson.

Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (506-634-1965) with visiting on Friday March 15, 2013 from 2 – 9 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will take place at  Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Saturday March 16, 2013 at 9:30 AM followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations to the Palliative Care Unit at the SJRH or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
