Arlene Duplessis
1947-2013

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Arlene Duplessis of Saint John. After a courageous battle with cancer, Arlene passed away on Thursday September 5, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Saint John on May 11, 1947 and was a daughter of the late Cleveland and Lila Brown. Arlene graduated from Vocational High School. She was employed with Comcare for 18 years and also worked as a private caregiver for many years. She enjoyed all types of music, loved to take long walks, had a love for the water and fishing, animals, reading but most importantly the love of her family. She is survived by daughters, Lisa and Tina Duplessis; three sons, Stanley (Darlene), Kevin (Bernice) and Rex Duplessis and her special loved ones; Carrie, James, Douglas, Jeffrey and Karen. Also survived by her sister Doreen, grandchildren, Shanice, Antonio, April, Alyssa, Rex, Kevin, Emma, Shanice, Lea and great grandchildren; Madison and Brooklyn as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Ruth and great grandchildren, Ellie and Connor.
Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (634-1965) with visiting on Sunday and Monday from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 10, 2013 at 11:00am in the chapel followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
