Mary Margaret Griffith
1925-2014
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Mary
Margaret (MacIntosh) Griffith, wife of R. David Griffith, which
occurred on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Saint John Regional
Hospital. Born in St. Andrews, Antigonish County, NS, she was a
daughter of the late Colin and Marcella (Fraser) MacIntosh. Mary was
employed at the D.V.A. Hospital as a Registered Nurse until her
retirement. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Gregory
of Ottawa and Bernie (Johanna) of St. Bruno, QC; one daughter, Susan
Flewelling (Scott) of Halifax; seven grandchildren, Peter, John,
Matthew, Patrick, Joseph, Nadia and David; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by three brothers, Leonard,
James and Allan.
Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, NB (634-1965) with visiting on Monday, June 23, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 12:10 pm. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances to the IWK, Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB would be appreciated by the family.
