Donald "Don" Cordeau
The death of Donald Robert "Don" Cordeau of Ridgewood Veterans Wing occurred on Tuesday September 2, 2014 at his residence. Don was born in Halifax but grew up in Saint John. He was a Korean War Veteran serving overseas with the Canadian Army. Following the time he spent in the military, Don was employed with the Canadian Pacific Railway for 35 years. Don is survived by daughters; Bernadette Cordeau, Margaret Harvey, Anna Wilson (Carl) and Amelia Cordeau. Also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and his step daughter Fay. Don was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Eleanor Cordeau and his second wife, Audrey Cordeau as well as 2 children; Matthew and Micky Cordeau.
Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street (634-1965) with visitation on Thursday from 2-4pmand 6-8pm. A tribute to a veteran service will take place at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Friday September 5, 2014 at 12:10pm followed by cremation and burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
