Ann Melaney

Melaney- Ann Gail “Annagail”-The death of Ann Gail Melaney occurred peacefully surrounded by her family at the Rocmaura Nursing Home on Thursday February 12, 2015. Annagail was born in Saint John and was a daughter of the late Sydney and Mary “Georgie” (Frenette) Melaney. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother David Melaney. She was a loving and caring sister to Jean Hamel (Bob) who cared and nurtured her for twenty years while living at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Also, she will be fondly remembered by her nieces; Denise Hamel (Shawn Bethune), Carole Barry (Chris) and Tara Hamel-Barry (Joe) as well as great nieces; Caitlin, Marissa and Julia and great nephews; Mitchell and Cameron. Annagail loved playing bingo, watching movies, and being the life of the party but her greatest love was spending time with her family including her Rocmaura Nursing Home family. Thank you to all the staff at Rocmaura who provided Ann with a fun, caring and loving environment throughout her 20 years. The family would like to extend sincere gratitude for their excellent care.
Following cremation a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 27, 2015 at 12:10pm from The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
